Anantnag’s orphan Furqan tops NEET 2018 in J&K
Anantnag: More than 200 students who availed coaching through CMs Super 50 Coaching Centre’s and Winter Tutorials established by the School Education Department have qualified NEET examination recently.
Director School Education Kashmir Dr. GN Itoo in a statement on Sunday said that such exceptional result was not possible without the hard work and dedication of the teachers. He appreciated the efforts of the teachers engaged in these coaching centers.
Among those who qualified the NEET is an orphan student namely Furqaan Ashraf of BHSS Dooru who topped the examination in J&K by securing 597 marks.
The department organized a felicitation ceremony in his honor and other qualifiers in which Joint Director School Education, South Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone Furqaan Ashraf, who was raised by his mother, was felicitated.
Dr. Itoo also participated in the event through video-conferencing from Srinagar. He congratulated Furqaan on his success and appreciated his hard work. He also lauded his mother who despite limited resources supported him and worked hard to make Furqaan achieve success.
DSEK said that Ministry of Human Resources Development has appreciated the initiative of the department for establishing CMs Super 50 Coaching Centre’s for different Competitive examinations. He added that MHRD Ministry will release funds for the establishment of more such Coaching Centres in the State.
He said that in addition to the already established CMs Super 50 Civil Services Coaching Centres in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramulla, one such center shall be established in each district of Kashmir Division.
