Blood of our youth is as pious as Haram-e-Pak: Geelani, pays tribute to slain Tral militants
Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani on Wednesday paid rich tributes to militants who were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Pinjora in Tral.
In a statement, Geelani said that the youth of Kashmir are laying their lives to end the “age-old slavery” and for the right to self-determination.
In a telephonic address to mourners, Geelani his heartfelt tributes to the slain youth Adil Ahmad Lone and reiterated his pledge to take the movement to its logical end. “We will never allow anybody to barter with the precious blood of martyrs,” he said.
“We need to be aware of this and we are duty bound to safeguard their sacrifices and should desist from such activities which prove detrimental for our movement.”
Geelani said that their blood is as pious as that of Haram-e-Paak and the people who for pity gains barter this blood are betraying nation and will find nothing hereafter except punishment for their misdeeds.
Geelani asked youth to remain cautious about the sinister designs of “anti-movement elements” and expressed dismay and displeasure over increasing waywardness in society. “We need to be vigilant and check the increasing ratio of crime graph in society.”
